Spencer Wadsworth (born May 10, 1986) is an American professional soccer player from Houston, Texas. He is currently without a club.

College

A four-year starter at Duke, Wadsworth saw his time in the starting lineup limited as a senior after off-season microfracture surgery on his right ankle. He appeared in 86 games, starting 66 during his collegiate career, scoring 25 goals and adding 34 assists. Wadsworth left the program tied for seventh in career assists and was an NSCAA All-South and All-ACC selection as a junior after leading the nation in assists (14) and was second in assists per game (.609). A two-time ACC All-Tournament Team selection, Wadsworth helped the Blue Devils win back-to-back titles in 2005 and 2006 He made an immediate impact on the college scene, finishing second on Duke’s squad in scoring as a freshman (eight goals, 10 assists).

MLS

Spencer was drafted 55th in the 2008 MLS Superdraft by New England Revolution, but was later waived and selected by FC Dallas. However, he never played a first-team game for either side and was waived by Dallas on December 1, 2008.

Brasil

In 2009 Spencer spent the year with 3 teams from Brasil. From January to June he spent time with Brasilis Futebol Clube of Aguas de Lindoia, São Paulo that competes in Campeonato Serie B of São Paulo. He then switched to Juventus de Jaragua do Sul(Grêmio Esportivo Juventus) in Santa Catarina where the famous futsal player Falcao was the investor of the team. It was here where the team was promoted to first division but due to the players not being paid the team disbanded with new investors and a new staff coming into power seeing Spencer's exit. He then spent a short time with another team in Tubarao, Santa Catarina called Hercilio Luz Futebol Clube but due to the club's inactivity he shortly returned to the United States. During his time in Brasil Spencer spent time at Forward, Attacking Midfield, Right Midfield, and Right back.
